Yvonne Nelson
Star actress Yvonne Nelson has returned on the set of Venus Films. Yvonne and CEO Abdul Salam had a long-standing popular relationship. She last shot for his production in the controversial movie titled, 3some, alongside Yvonne Okoro, James Gardner and Kalsoum Sinare.
The self-acclaimed ‘best legs’ actress in Ghana was spotted on Abdul Salam’s set over the weekend after almost a year and a half.
Meanwhile, her return is likely to spark other issues after grapevine info says Jackie Appiah is also on the same set.
The two ladies, as speculated in the past, don't see eye-to-eye though Yvonne had denied that in an interview with Peace Fm’s Entertainment Review, last year. For reasons best known to producers, the two have not been paired in a movie in a long time. They last acted far apart each other in the award-winning movie, 4play Reloaded.

Leila Djansi on And There Was You set
Nana Akua Addo
Ghanaian movie director Leila Djansi seems to be enthusiastic about upcoming Ghanaian film, Nkuli (The Masked), which is themed on the deadly disease, HIV/Aids, and its effects in Africa.
After seeing the film’s trailer yesterday, the director, who is expected in Ghana sometime this year for her next production said, “Nice, I will like to see this film and know how the story is structured.”
Nkuli (The Masked) is the first Ghanaian movie to treat the issues of HIV/Aids as its theme, this year. Unconfirmed reports say the Ghana AIDS Commission is one of the sponsors of the film, which is produced by actress Nana Akua Addo.
Nkuli (The Masked) tells the story of a young Nkuli (played by Nana Akua Addo) and her two siblings, Kwame (played by James Gardner) and Gye Nyame (played by Lisa Asor Awuku), who had to face the harsh realities of life after the untimely death of their parents.
They found themselves in the care of a wicked aunt (played by Paulina Oduro) who ushered Nkuli into prostitution, as a means of generating income for the family’s upkeep.
Nkuli got infected with the HIV virus and the rest of the story is what movie fans should anticipate in the next few months.
Nkuli (The Masked) generally talks about the dangers and huge risks children are exposed to when there is little or no parental guidance or protection.
It is directed by Phil Bernard for Hau of Kadewe Films, producers of the hilarious ‘Wanna Be’ movie.
Leila Djansi is known for her unique style of telling stories via visuals and she wanting to see the Nkuli story is something worth talking about.

With the latest photos, Kisa, who is currently tagged as a discovery actress from the Selassie Ibrahim-produced ‘Miser’ series, joins the league of most daring actresses on the African continent. Efo is a wealthy farmer who hides his riches from his family and friends and tries to live an economical life. He makes life unbearable for his family to the extent that he measures everything at home including a pot of soup and even music played by his children. Simply put, he dominates his family with his strict, stingy ideologies of economics.
But there is only one person who can stop him- his mother-in-law, Hajia (Grace Nortey).
Immediately Hajia enters his home on a visit, Efo becomes very sober and a loving father and husband.
His daughter Dela (Roselyn Ngissah) takes advantage of Hajia’s presence to benefit from her miserly dad. Also in the series is James Gardner among others.

Dr. Joyce Aryee
Akumaa Mama Zimbi and Dr. Joyce Aryee have been named ambassadors for 2013 edition of the World Heart Day (WHD) in Ghana. The two celebrated figures were chosen by the Ghana Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
This year's World Heart Day will be celebrated on September 28 at the Efua Satherland Children’s Park in Accra with a walk and free heart screening.
The theme for this year is, “Walking On The Road To A Healthy Heart” with a focus on women and children.
Each year, over 17million people die worldwide out of heart-related issues. And one out of every three women who die, die out of heart-related diseases.
In fact, every minute, a woman dies out of heart-related disease in the world, and in Ghana, it is the highest cause of death in women and children.
At a press launch of the World Heart Day at the British Council, Prof. Frimpong Boateng and Dr. Siribour, the past and present directors of the Ghana Cardiothoracic Centre in Ghana respectively, commended Mama Zimbi in her effort towards development of women in Ghana.
The two ambassadors are to work closely with all the heart-related institutions to raise awareness about such diseases in Ghana till September next year.
According to Mama Zimbi, if heart-related diseases would be minimized and stopped completely, women would have to play a greater role. She added, “We all need to eat well, exercise regularly, rest adequately and go for regular checkups at the hospital to reduce the chances of getting hearts-related diseases.”

“I have passion for fashion and thus I have my designer busily designing dozens of fantastic clothing for me to keep on rocking all month long,” she has revealed on how she is contributing to mark the significance of the initiative.
“I love Ghana and as a media person who is on TV every now and then, I believe I need to send out the message on my views and my way is to look fabulous in my sizzling Ghanaian fabric,” Samantha said, but admitted that she is still not fluent in her native language, Ga, which she is trying to learn now.

Yvonne Okoro & Yvonne Jegede

Helen Asante & Zynnell Lydia Zuh
The era of petty-fighting, backbiting and envy among female celebs could not find a place in the relationship between two beautiful Ghanaian actresses; Zynnell Lydia Zuh and Helen Asante. The two actresses, for the past weeks have sent signals that they are best friends and would not allow petty issues come between them.
Though critics say their friendliness can only be proven in a matter of time, the 'Different Shades of Blue' actress and ‘Adams Apples’ cute actress at the moment are having a jolly good time together as industry ‘besties’,  NEWS-ONE gathered.
They seem very comfortable in each other’s company and such was the situation when they attended the cover party for Yvonne Okoro’s edition of the Glitz Africa celebrity and lifestyle magazine, last Wednesday.
They commanded respect and some attention with their stunning looks while they posed for snapshots.
It was indeed a friendly affair at the event, even though they are both competitors in an industry where seeking prominence is the order of the day.
In their company was another friend and rising actress Adelaide.
Wednesday was the second time the cameras officially captured them together. The first was at the City People Awards held in Nigeria. But there had been other times when they were spotted together hanging out.
What many people currently do not know is what has bound the two cute actresses? Could it be their tolerance, respect or love for each other?
In the past, Helen used to hang out with plump actress and Ghana Movie Award 2010 Best Actress co-winner, Roselyn Ngissah. But not much of them have been seen this year.
Interestingly, she started to roll with Zynnell Lydia Zuh who has not really defined who her real friends are. She attended the 2012 edition of Ghana Movie Awards with Lydia Forson, an indication that they have some relationship.
Indeed, the new bondage with Helen only needs time to attest whether they are real friends or just doing it for the moment.
