Kenneth Okoro, younger brother of popular Ghanaian actress Yvonne Okoro has signed a three-year contract to play for Ghanaian club side, Accra Hearts of Oak.
The move was reportedly aided by Nana Yaw Boatey, Commoodore Mensah and Stephen Appiah who discovered the talented Kenneth.
Sister and award-winning actress Yvonne Okoro expressed enthusiasm for her brother’s progress to play for the Accra giant club.
“I’m happy for him. He has always wanted to play football and I think this is a good opportunity for him to take it to the next level. The family is strongly behind him and we expect the best for him,” the ‘Contract’ actress said on Tuesday.
Kenneth Okoro, who is currently described by local sports media as a brilliant young striker, went for discovery trials by Hearts of Oak before the Phobians saw his exploits in soccer.
He played well and passed the test with distinction which persuaded the club to quickly offer him the three-year contract.
He is expected to swiftly graduate to the senior side and also grow to become a national asset.
Yvonne has been tweeting about her brother’s success in past weeks to confirm her enthusiasm. She has obviously become a Phobia fan.
