Jon Germain Joins Northern Affair Crew At Script Reading

Although popular TV anchor Jon Germain has refused to comment or confirm reports that he is joining Ghana’s movie industry, NEWS-ONE can authoritatively say he has accepted to feature in his first movie, ‘Northern Affair’ directed by Leila Djansi.
The production started on Tuesday night with a round table reading of the movie’s script with the cast at the grand Mensvic Hotel, Accra and Jon Germain was there as one of the cast.
The production is by Access Media, headed by Jon’s sister, Mabel Germain.  Shooting was scheduled to start on Wednesday October 2, but it was postponed to today Friday October 4.
With the upcoming movie Jon is now a TV anchor, musician and an actor. The rest of the movie’s cast include John Dumelo and Joselyn Dumas.

JJ Bunny’s High Budget Gambian Movie Hits Ghana

Actress JJ Bunny’s Gambian movie project titled ‘Groom’s Bride’, featuring some award-winning Gambian actors and Ghanaian lead actors Majid Michel and Jackie Appiah, will hit Ghanaian silver-screens this month.  The movie will be premiered at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra on June 29 via a grand red carpet ceremony, which is anticipated to bring visiting actors to town. The movie was directed by Frank Rajah for Abdul Salam’s Venus Film Production. The movie, shot last year, is Venus’ first movie in Gambia. Venus is yet to answer critics why the production was done in Gambia.   JJ Bunny came down from her Houston base last November for the movie in Ghana. After the movie, she travelled to Ghana. She has since remained in Africa as she has been bombarded with movie scripts. She has been described as a Nollywood US A-List actress residing in the United States.
