Funny Face Vodafone Song Thrills As Customer Walks Away With GH¢10,000

Linda Lorwia receiving her prize

Ace Ghanaian Comedian Funny Face has recorded one of the funniest and most exciting promo songs in Ghana for telecommunication giant, Vodafone.
The promo song, which is the remix version of his ‘My Car’ song released earlier this year, features Dr. Cryme’s voice and has some interesting punch lines about the telecommunication company’s ‘Cool Chop’ promotion to reward its cherished customers.
Last Wednesday, the song caught on with Vodafone customers and music listeners when the Vodafone team visited Ashaiman as part of its weekly giveaway promo dubbed Vodafone Cool Chop Promotion.
Funny was not at the function but his song excited onlookers who came around to watch the Vodafone team reward its customers.
One Isaac Bonsu walked away with A Galaxy Smartphone while another winner, Toufiq Ahmed Mustapha, also received an LED TV for texting to short code 4141 to win a prize.
Linda Lorwia also received a cheque for GH¢10,000. After receiving her reward, she told the audience who witnessed the ceremony that she aimed at driving home one of the major prizes at the end of the month, which is a brand new Hyundai Santa Fe. Hence she was going to use part of the money to keep texting until she won the car prize.
“I heard about the advert on billboards, TV and internet and it says we should text 4141 to win various prizes. Actually I am not a fan of such things but this time around I said let me try and see. I just said let me give it a try and I did. I text several times because others are texting and now I have won hundred million. People can also give it a try. I’m serious about winning the car so I will use part of the money I have received now to text and see,” she said.
Vodafone Ghana is currently giving customers the chance of winning a lot of gifts including their dream home and for the first time in Ghana, serviced plots of land in their new ‘Cool Chop’ promotion.
A three-bedroom house from Lakeside Estates is up for grabs in the 90-day promotion as well as three fully serviced plots of land, a brand new Hyundai Santa Fe and over GH¢1 million worth of other prizes. By texting ‘WIN’ to 4141, over 10,000 customers will be rewarded in the 90-day promotion.
Over the next 90 days, the highest texters will be rewarded daily, weekly and monthly, with prizes ranging from airtime, smartphones and tablets, thousands of Ghana cedis, 40” LED TVs, serviced plots of land, a car, culminating in the grand prize: a three-bedroom house on the exclusive Lakeside Estate in Accra.
