Omawumi Arrives In Ghana For Yvonne Nelson's Movie

Nigeria’s R&B singer Omawumi Megbele arrived in Ghana a few days ago to star in sexy Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson’s upcoming movie, ‘House of Gold’.
Omawumi is an award winning Nigerian singer and is described as a diversity of talents.

She was the first runner-up of Idols West Africa reality show in 2007. She has since built up her profile as an artiste and had a number of stage performances with top local acts like D’Banj,  Tuface, P-Square, M.I, Banky W, Sasha and 9ice and international acts like Chaka Demus, Pliers, Carl Thomas, Angie Stone and Donnel Jones.  
She was amongst the cast for the 2009 edition of the ‘Vagina-Monologues’ (a highly reputed play that reflects the negative issues affecting women in Nigeria).
She has also written and done vocals for theme songs and these include songs for MTN, Zain and the theme song for Malta Guinness ‘Top of The World Goodness’ campaign.
Starring in Yvonne Nelson’s upcoming movie is yet another opportunity for Omawumi to explore her talent. She arrived in Ghana some six days ago and is currently busy on set. It is yet to be confirmed the role she will be playing.
Meanwhile, ‘House of Gold’, which is the third movie production linked to Yvonne Nelson, has a unique cast.
Majid Michel is making a second appearance in an Yvonne Nelson movie after he first featured in ‘The Price’. Eddie Watson was also spotted in photos from the movie’s set.
‘Oleku’ crooner Ice Prince is expected to arrive in Accra by today for the movie. Other cast members are yet to be made public.
