Yvonne Okoro & Shirley Frimpong Manso Settle Differences On ‘The Contract’

Yvonne Okoro

Weeks after deliberating on changing the working title for Yvonne Okoro’s upcoming first produced movie, the actress, and director Shirley Frimpong Manso have finally decided to maintain the title: ‘The Contract’.
The two reportedly had lengthy talks days ago and finally came to a conclusion.
Their respective positions on the title before the agreement was reached were not readily known. However, prior to agreeing on the title, they both took into consideration a title that would capture the audience’s attention.
The upcoming film is described as an award-winning romantic comedy and Yvonne reportedly put up her best performance in the movie.
It featured South Africa’s celebrated actor Homla Dandala and Nigeria’s Benjamin Joseph and a number of Ghanaian actors. Yesterday, a synopsis of the movie was released.
It tells the story of a successful businessman Peter Puplampo, the ultimate alpha male.

He is 40 years old, rich and a staunch bachelor. Despite his mother’s persistent attempts to find him a woman, Peter sticks to his rule of non-committal casual dates, freedom and being in control of his life until the desire to have a child arises. In his quest to find the woman who will take his money, have his child and disappear, Peter begins a roller-coaster, contracted relationship with Abena Boateng, a crude but clever local girl who is anything but impressed with Peter’s affluence.
With a clear definitive contract from his lawyer outlining the dos and don’ts of bearing Peter Puplampo’s child, these two opposites must exercise every ounce of willpower not to kill each other until the child is born. The movie is an unsuspecting romantic comedy with unusual twists that expose the flaws in being in control of one’s life.
It is yet to be confirmed when the movie will be premiered but it has been confirmed for the Yuletide season.
