Ghana Movie Awards Nominations Out Today

Fred Nuamah CEO of Ghana movie awards

After what has been described as a long wait, Ghana Movie Awards will be launched in Accra today.
The launch ceremony is taking place at the rLG headquarters in Accra, where organizers will announce nominees for this year’s awards and also announce the date for the main event.
The launching event is expected to start the usual controversy that characterizes Ghanaian entertainment awards.
Meanwhile, the ceremony is scheduled to attract a large number of industry players including film crews, actors, producers and directors and the media.
The Ghana Movie Awards, aimed at rewarding talent and creativity in Ghana’s movie industry, is in its third year. The first edition was held in 2010.
Like previous years, this year is expected to generate a healthy controversy among Ghanaian filmmakers.
The questions on many industry players’ minds are which Ghanaian movie will top this year’s nomination list and which actors will make it to the best actor and best actress categories?
