‘Single & Married’ Breaks Ghana Record In Nigeria

Yvonne Nelson and friends in Nigeria ahead of Nigeria premiere last month

Yvonne Nelson’s produced movie, ‘Single & Married’, is reportedly making wonders in Nollywood cinema.
It could however not be confirmed if it managed to break any record of a Nollywood movie.
But a source confirmed that the movie was doing better than any other Ghanaian movie that crossed into Nollywood.
NEWS-ONE sources said for over three weeks that the movie was premiered in Nigeria, it was still making great impact in Nigeria. Day in and day out, large numbers of movie fans keep going to Silverbird Cinemas in Nigeria to see the movie.
‘Single & Married’ was premiered in Accra and Lagos and it made an impact in both cities.
There are good lessons to learn from this movie. Directed by Pascal Amanfo, it is narrated by Ghana’s iconic presenter Anita Erskine. It delves into the intricacies of marriage and the challenges of being single, with focus on young adults.
The storyline raised serious issues about why spouses cheat on their partners and how to stop them. But it was told in a rather subtle, entertaining way. It is indeed a must-see movie.
