Ghanaian actor Timothy Bentum has led a number of Ghanaian celebrities including actors and presenters to donate items worth hundreds of Ghana cedis to underprivileged children at the Christ Faith Foster Home at Frafraha, a suburb of Accra.
The items included 30 boxes of Indomie, Minute Maid juice, Papso fruit juice, fruits, Bibles, detergents, scrubbing brushes, bed-spread and pillows, exercise books and a number of other items.
The group also put a smile on the faces of the children at the home with a sizable party.
Present at the ceremony were actors Prince David Osei, Timothy Bentum, Maa Efia (Sound Splash) and representatives from Trinity Baptist Church in Accra.
A couple of weeks ago, this group of celebrities including Majid Michel, Becca, Jeremie of YFM, Funny Face and others formed Actors, Presenters, Professionals & Musicians For Christ (APPMC), with the basic aim of winning souls for Christ.
The group, in collaboration with Trinity Baptist Church in Accra, organized a church ceremony where all the stars took turns on stage to give touching testimonies.
Proceeds made from that service and other sponsorship packages from Papso fruit juice, Indomie, Coca Cola, Osei Kusi Foundation and Edern Security aided the donation ceremony.
Timothy Bentum, who led the celebrities, in a short interview with NEWS-ONE, thanked everyone who had contributed to the donation.
“Our reason for the donation is simple. It is to live like Jesus lived by having the orphans, widows and the less privileged at heart. It is also to lessen their burden while impacting on their lives spiritually too. We hope to do this as many times as God leads and makes the provision,” he added.
