Ghanaian gospel act Cwesi Oteng has released a new single titled ‘Kabiyesi’
ahead of the upcoming ‘Mercy Project’ album to be released this month,
September.
‘Mercy’
was his first prelude single and then ‘God Dey Bless Me.’
‘Kabiyesi’
is the third but the newest single from Cwesi.
Kabiyesi’
means the unquestionable, unstoppable, unchallengeable and incomparable one in
Yoruba, a native Nigerian language. The song is a groovy Ghana-Nigeria praise anthem
that is set to get all dancing and praising the Lord God Almighty.
Cwesi
Oteng is described as a young gospel music sensation making a strong statement
for African gospel music.
He
has an album to credit titled ‘Blessed Are They.’
However,
ever since the re-structure of his music ministry, added focus on youth and
charity works and the release of the inspiring and thought-provoking hit single
and it’s video,' Mercy (But for Your Mercy)', Cwesi is garnering attention
all over the world.
The
hit single has earned him multiple nominations at the 2011 Africa Gospel Music
Awards (including Best Gospel Video and Discovery of the Year). He won the New
Artiste of the Year at the 2011 Ghana Gospel Industry Awards (he had multiple
nominations there too). In November 2011, he won the ‘Best Gospel Video’ at the
2011Vodafone-4syte Music Video Awards and two months ago, he won Best Lyrics
for a Most Wanted Song at the Christian Community Contemporary Gospel Music
Awards.
His new single, ‘God Dey Bless Me’ (Speak Those Things) is now a huge inspir

nominations in three prestigious categories at the 2012 Africa Gospel Music
Awards (Song of the Year, Video of the Year and Artiste of the Year West Africa)
