Actress Yvonne Okoro and five other stars, D Black, Samini, ace comedian Funny Face, Keitta of Big Brother Stargame fame and Benny Blanco, made surprise appearances at dinner for Miss Malaika final 10 delegates on Friday night.
It was the tenth anniversary dinner for the 10 finalists and the stars showed up at the dinner table to mingle with the ladies.
Indications were that the contestants were not notified the stars would be in attendance. Their presence was therefore a pleasant surprise for the finalist.
Yvonne Okoro was the last to pop up at the table with a birthday cake for the birthday contestant. Some of the ladies screamed with excitement upon seeing her. She went ahead to present the cake to the birthday girl.
Subsequently, all the 10 finalists and the stars posed for the cameras for some memorable pictures. They also made some time to chitchat about career and the pressures of stardom among other issues.
Two weeks ago, the top 10 finalists for the tenth edition of Miss Malaika Ghana were revealed at the mini finals at the studios of Gh One Entertainment Television.
After introducing themselves to the judges and the public, and making a short presentation each on the projects they hoped to embark on when chosen as Miss Malaika 2012, the judges’ scores were tallied with public votes sent via text messages and appeals on social media.
The top 10 finalists were Aisha Walon, Frances Ackles, Edlyn Nuno, Emmanuella Enyonam Dotse, Bridget Sharon Cofie, Ama Ampofo, Regina Anne Dei Van-Helvert, Sonia Leeyen, Sadia Sanusi, and Rosemary Anima Awuku.
The next stages would present the most exciting challenge to the 10 finalists who would try to impress the general public and the judges on their chosen charity works.
The public can vote for their favourite finalist on short code 1757 as the series runs 8:00 pm every Sunday, on GH One.
