Lydia Forson Finally Back Home

Lydia Forson and American actor Anthony Anderson
Actress Lydia Forson has finally returned home from Sierra Leone, where she had been shooting with other top African actors for over a month.
She touched down at the Kotota International Airport, Accra, on Tuesday evening and is yet to speak about her experience in Sierra Leone.
Earlier signals picked from sources around her suggested she had both good and odd times on set but NEWSONE is yet to speak to her about them.
The bubbly actress should have been home earlier but she spent more weeks in Sierra Leone, as a result of rains in that country which compelled production to be halted for weeks.
Lydia Forson arrived in Sierra Leone for the movie on Sunday, July 15.
Her arrival in Sierra Leone was greeted with a lot of enthusiasm as she made front pages of some top newspapers.
When President John Evans Atta Mills died, she was invited by the Ghana High Commission in Sierra Leone to sign the book of condolence for the late president. Subsequently, she read a tribute at the funeral of the late president in Sierra Leone, which was attended by top diplomats.
Lydia remains one remarkable actress to have come out of Ghana. She has passion for what she does on the screens. In recent times, she has been travelling out of Ghana for different projects. She is the first Ghanaian actress to present an award at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), described as Africa’s Oscars.
At the last AMAA, she went as a special guest. The bubbly actress presented an award for Best Young/Upcoming Actor to Nigeria’s Ivie Okujaye who won for her role in the movie ‘Alero’s Symphony’. Lydia raised the flag of Ghana high on stage that night.
Her first AMAA appearance was in 2009 when she was nominated for Promising Actress of the Year. In 2010, she went as a nominee and returned to Ghana as a co-winner of Best Actress In Leading Role for her performance in ‘Perfect Picture’ by Sparrow Production.
