Empire, Media GH Host ‘Back In The Days’

Samini
Empire Entertainment and Media GH have teamed for a historic show dubbed, ‘Back In The Days’.
The show aims at bringing back old time hip life artistes whose works have stood the test of time, on one stage.
The show will feature the crème de la crème of the era when hip life began.

It is intended to unify the industry one more time as artistes who had issues with eac
h other at the time will use ‘Back In The Days’ stage to settle their differences. The show promises a lot of other surprises.
Last Thursday, it was launched at the Silver Lounge at the Accra Mall. Organizers said ‘Back in the Day’ was scheduled for September 21 at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.
Each of the artistes would be presented with a plaque on the night.
Among the lists of artistes for the show are  Reggie Rockstone, Ex-Doe, Chicago, VIP, Samini, TH4 Kwages, Buk Bak, T-Blaze of ‘Wo sisi ye wo ya’ fame, Akatakyie of ‘Odo sisi me’ fame, Tic Tac of ‘Philomena’ fame, Akyeame duo of Okyeame Kwame and Okyeame Quophi of ‘Mesan Aba’ fame, Obrafour and others.
Some of the above-mentioned names were at the launching ceremony on Thursday evening. Most of them expressed their enthusiasm to be part of the show.
There is no doubt that most of the old time hiplifers are still rocking and relevant; for instance VIP, Samini and Okyeame Kwame.

However, there are concerns about whether the likes of Lord Kenya will perform their old songs for the “world”.
At the launching, Ex-Doe and Chicago sat far from each other, but that did not necessarily mean they have not ended their lyrical war.
Meanwhile, Samini said he was happy because that event would give him the opportunity to make up with KK Fosu and Kokoveli.
Okyeame Kwame also gave assurances that after the show, perhaps Akyeame duo of Okyeame Kwame and Quophie would bounce back.
