Bessa Simon To Perform At Aggrey Memorial Dinner Dance


Ace highlife musician Bessa Simon with his band will be performing at his old school, Aggrey Memorial Senior High School fund raising dinner dance to raise money to renovate the school’s famous yellow block.    AMOSA is organizing a funding raising and dinner dance event on September 8, 2012 at Aprah House between Qodesh Chapel (Lighthouse Chapel) and Old Melcom or Zenith Bank at North Kaneshie at 7pm.
This fund raising event will go a long way to help start some renovation works on the classroom block in the school after successfully completing the school gate project and also supporting to fence all the school land.
Speaking on the night will be some old students like Nana Akomea, NPP’s Communication Director and Member of Parliament for the Okaikoi South Constituency,  Dr Moses Aikins, Fredrick Lamptey, chief corporate officer, Vanguard Assurance and George Jordan Robertson, insurance consultant.
Bessa Simon and his band will rock the guests with good highlife tunes.

JJ Bunny’s High Budget Gambian Movie Hits Ghana

Actress JJ Bunny’s Gambian movie project titled ‘Groom’s Bride’, featuring some award-winning Gambian actors and Ghanaian lead actors Majid Michel and Jackie Appiah, will hit Ghanaian silver-screens this month.  The movie will be premiered at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra on June 29 via a grand red carpet ceremony, which is anticipated to bring visiting actors to town. The movie was directed by Frank Rajah for Abdul Salam’s Venus Film Production. The movie, shot last year, is Venus’ first movie in Gambia. Venus is yet to answer critics why the production was done in Gambia.   JJ Bunny came down from her Houston base last November for the movie in Ghana. After the movie, she travelled to Ghana.
