Akufo-Addo Is Exopa Queen

Naana Gyanewaa Akuffo-Addo
Some names just have a way of attracting attention to the bearers and it therefore comes as no surprise that the newly crowned winner of the monthly Exopa New Face contest is raising eyebrows with her name; Naana Akufo-Addo.
Questions are already being asked if the 19-year-old wannabe female model is one of the daughters of Nana Akufo-Addo, presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Naana was crowned the New Face of Exopa, who would represent the brand during the month of September, in the early hours of Sunday after a keen competition that started Saturday night amidst lots of stimulating entertainment.
It was a thrilling evening of catwalk, dance steps and musical performances, after which Naana Gyanewaa Akuffo-Addo beat 11 other female models to emerge winner, while 18-year-old student of the Wisconsin University, Stephanie Olali and Belinda Biamah Asiamah, a 19-year-old graduate of Akosombo International School, took first and second runners-up positions respectively.
The show as usual took place at the Exopa Burg behind the Zenith College. It attracted a large number of modelling and fashion enthusiasts and a section of the local media.
Like the previous show, Saturday’s contest had male models also taking part in the competition.
They indeed added some glitz and glamour to the show when they took their turn on the runway.
In the end, 22-year-old artiste Roland Paul emerged winner. Emmanuel K. Tetteh, an undergraduate of the University of Ghana and Jesse Obeng-Somuah, former student of the Fijai Senior High School, were the first and second runners-up respectively.

The show was indeed exciting. It started at about 10pm with a performance by an upcoming artiste called T.O.P, to pave the way for the models who hit the runway in
African mini wears.
There were musical performances by other upcoming Ghanaian musicians during the show.
During the talent show, most of the models danced while a few sang.
The winners have a contract with the Exopa Modelling Agency and other juicy packages including cover page articles in NEWS-ONE and spotlight exposure on Metro TV’s Allo TiGo.
The event will continue every last Saturday of the month at the Exopa Burg where the event always takes place. The show is expected to be more exciting in the coming months.
