AHEAD OF the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards on December 25, NEWS-ONE reported that notables within Ghana’s movie industry were really busy shopping to prove their sense of fashion on the red carpet on D-day.
Indeed Ghana’s influential actresses tried their best to impress the gradually rising and the not too vibrant fashion police in the Ghana showbiz arena.
Most of them were dressed to kill and they showed up at the event looking traditional, charming, sexy and beautiful.
Yvonne Nelson, Lydia Forson, Joselyn Dumas, Juliet Ibrahim, Jackie Appiah, Gloria Sarfo, Pascaline Edwards, and Helen Asante among others sparkled than usual, even though a few other stars got it wrong. But the question was who wore it best?
A few comments by fashion observers, aficionados and authorities, believe Yvonne Nelson and Lydia Forson looked good on the night, just as they also commended Juliet Ibrahim and Jackie Appiah for the traditional local fabrics they attached to their outfit.
Pascaline also got some attention with her Indian styled costume. There were also good comments about Gloria Sarfo’s outfit but critics claimed the combination was just too much.
