Kimberly Elise, Omotola & Ama K Rock Da Viva Fabrics

The world would see more of Ghanaian designer clothes and fabrics when ‘Ties That Bind’ hits the screens as the movie’s lead actresses including Hollywood star Kimberly Elise are captured rocking some Da Viva fabrics.
Da Viva Fabric was the signature textile for the Leila Djansi movie that is scheduled for release in Ghana this December.
Da Viva fabrics have diverse themes, colors and designs inspired by the purest traditions from around the world and are made of pure cotton.
“We are very excited to work with Da Viva. They costumed both ‘Sinking Sands’ and ‘Ties That Bind’. I personally requested for Da Viva because they have a very unique design; it is very afropolitan. It’s not loud and allows you to blend costume and environment seamlessly. I don’t like it when costume stands out in a film. It’s important it blends into the story and the characters, thus allowing the viewer to concentrate on story, not clothes and Da Viva afforded us that opportunity,” Leila Djansi, director of ‘Ties That Bind’ told ameyawdebrah.com.
Costumed by Mabel Germain, the three lead actresses of ‘Ties That Bind’, Kimberly Elise, Ama K Abebrese and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde as well as other cast members wore signature pieces from Da Viva.
