Precious Kweku Senafiawo of Flava music during the donation |
The company’s management headed by Precious Kweku Senafiawo who is also the founder of Pure City International School, donated an amount of GH¢1000 to the school in addition to other items worth thousands of Ghana cedis.
Among the items were 20 big bags of rice, large gallons of cooking oil, table top refrigerator and toiletries.
Mr. Senafiawo and his music management visited the school for the blind with some students from his private school. They toured various departments of the school to observe how students went about their daily activities.
It was a touching experience for the group to see how students wove baskets and did other craftwork, though visually impaired.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Senafiawo expressed enthusiasm for engaging in such an activity. According to him, it was everybody’s responsibility to make sure such students feel happy.
Hence, he assured he will do everything within his power to return to school in subsequent events to support the visually impaired students.
“Every year as part of my social responsibility, Flava Music does a lot of donations but I am not just a music director, I am also a proprietor and as part of the school’s one year anniversary, we decided to make this presentation to the Akropong School for the Blind. It not easy being physically challenged and we decided to do this every year to help. And anytime we do this, I realize that my soul is always at rest,” he added.
Last year, Flava Music artiste, Vibz, settled bills of some patients at the children’s unit of the 37 Military and Ridge hospitals.
In addition, the group donated items including cartons of milk, Milo, biscuits, Fanta and mosquito nets totalling an amount of GH¢5000 to the school.
Vibz is currently signed onto Flava Music. They dropped their first single titled ‘Calling’ which featured Sarkodie.
