Zynnell Promises More Awards After Winning Supporting Actress Award

Zynnel Lydia Zuh and Helen Asante at City People Awards

Actress Zynnel Lydia Zuh is one of the personalities who picked different recognitions at the just ended City People Awards in Nigeria over the weekend.
She won Best Supporting Actress of the year. She beat equally good actresses Roselyn Ngissah, Kafui Danku, Emmanuella Mensah and Khareema Aguiar to emerge the winner of that category.
“Won best supporting actress (Ghana) at the city people’s entertainment awards last Sunday in Lagos. God is great,” she tweeted hours after the event. “Thanks for all the congratulatory messages. This is the first of many,” she also posted on BlackBerry.
Tomorrow Thursday July 18, she will be celebrating her birthday. And winning an award a few days to her birthday is definitely a joyous moment for her.
Zynnell is one of Ghana’s actresses who like to maintain a low profile. But she is gradually becoming hot. She has been in the industry since 2004.
After high school, she began auditioning for roles. She auditioned for a lead role in TV series titled ‘Sticking to the Promise’ by Point Blank Media.
Fortunately, she won the role, in which she played a twin to another actress. From there, she was discovered by Director/Producer Shirley Frimpong Manso, who auditioned and featured her in the rested ‘Different Shades of Blue’ TV series and a cameo role in her movie, ‘Life and Living It’.
While casting for these two movies, she was in the University of Ghana studying Information Studies. After those roles, she decided to give full time to her education. Having graduated from school, Zynnell decided to return to serious acting.
Currently, she has acted in a number of Ghanaian movies including Venus Films’ ‘Seduction’, ‘Single Six’, ‘Adams Apples’, ‘Wannabe’, ‘Deadline’, ‘Temptation’, ‘For Better For War’ and a number of other yet-to-be released movies.
