Nigerian

across the African continent.
Oluchi
and her ANTM team were in Accra two w
eeks ago to scout for models be part of
the show will be hosted by Oluchi Orlandi in far away South Africa.
But
the international model told a section of Ghanaian media at a press conference
that numbers of models who turned up for the audition were nowhere near those
of other countries her team already
visited countries.
She said about
80 ladies turned up for the Ghana auditions on Saturday July 20. Johannesburg
audition had recorded over 800 hundred models just as Kenya. Mozambique also recorded over 400 hundreds models attending the audition.
Ghana’s audition
was held at the M Plaza Hotel in Accra. It is about some two weeks now that the
one day auction ended and organizers are yet to announce names of models who
will be given a chance to represent Ghana in the maiden edition, airing soon on
free-to-air and pay-per-view television.
Oluchi was hopeful the Africa Next Top Model will grow, that was why she decided to tour the African continent to scout for models despite sponsorship challenges.

The ANTM team
will in the coming days announce who among the lot has made it. Recording takes
off in South Africa from August.
“We chose South
Africa to host the competition because considering the African continent, South
Africa is about the only country with a well-structured fashion industry and
very busy one because almost every province holds its own Fashion Week”, Oluchi
said on why South Africa was chosen to host the reality show.
Africa’s Next
Top Model is the African extension of the very popular of America’s Next Top
Model franchise owned by Tyra Banks.
