Cheaters For Twelve (12) Cinemas In Nigeria

Jackie Appiah
Award winning Ghanaian movie ‘Cheaters’, has been announced to grace the screens of 12 of Nigeria’s topmost cinemas.
Director Frank Rajah said on Friday evening that, “We had a successful premiere in Ghana and we hope to replicate that in Nigeria. Nollywood should just watch out for a new experience.”
The movie by Raj Film and Heroes Production will be entering Nigerian cinemas from August 2. Among the cinemas are Silverbird Galleria Cinemas Victoria Island Lagos, Film House Surulere Lagos, Ibadan and Calabar, Silverbird Entertainment Abuja, Silverbird Port Harcourt, Silverbird Cinema Ikeja Lagos and Genesis Deluxe Cinema Lekke Palm Lagos. The rest include Ozone Cinema Lagos and Silverbird Ceddi Plaza.
Meanwhile, the sequel of the movie will hit the big screens in Ghana with a cinema release on August 8.
“I decided to call it book2 and it is sequel of the main story in book1. For now we are interested in following the same story as in book1.

Omar Sherriff Captan

Okawa Shaznay

Chichi Neblett
Perhaps, we might have a change of mind in book4. But until then you just watch out for something amazing from the sequel next month,” Frank told NEWS-ONE earlier.
The book1 premiere in Ghana on May 24 attracted an encouraging patronage at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra.
Two of Silverbird Cinema halls were used for the premiere. Each of the halls screened the movie twice and on each occasion, the halls were fully packed.
Among the cast of book1 were Jackie Appiah, Okawa Shaznay, Chichi Neblett, Uche Iwuannyawu, Henry A. Asiedu, Adjetey Anang, Omar Sheriff Captan and a host of others.
It follows the stories of several young couples caught up in a web of love, lies and extramarital affairs. It throws more light on the assumption that marriage is the only war in which one sleeps with the enemy. If the couple is inseparable, it usually takes five people to separate it and ‘Cheaters’ reflects just that.
In this film, love is portrayed as a mysterious adventure that takes one through many twists and turns.  One adds a bit of infidelity to the mix and he or she has the perfect recipe for disaster. The story is never concluded unless movie enthusiasts see the sequel.
