Prince Tomety and Brian White
Award winning Ghanaian art director Tony Prince Tomety appears to be enjoying a whole new working experience in Hollywood, after working on  And Then There Was You’, a movie  directed by Leila Djansi’s which wrapped weeks ago.
The production had a lot of talented people, no wonder Tony found himself working in there because he is very good at what he does.
Among them are actress Garcelle Beauvais, Lynn Whitfield, Greg Vaughan, Leon Robinson, Kate Nauta and Trilby Glover.
The fine gentleman is still working out there and he is yet to speak about his experience working in Hollywood.
The Will Smith look-alike recently posted on his BlackBerry status saying, “I am here to stay. Oscar moment coming up,” and accompanied it with a photo of him in Hollywood.
Subsequent snapshots of him from the set had him posed with Brian White, American actor, producer, model, dancer and stockbroker.
Tony worked with the production design department of the film and there are high expectations over his performance.
“I like his work a lot and I think it is good he explores what opportunities Hollywood may have for his talent which is underutilized in Ghana,” Leila told NEWS-ONE earlier this year about flying Prince to the USA to work.
Tony is a former student of National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI).  He has worked in Ghana’s movie industry as production designer and arts director for the past eight years and is credited with movies like ‘No Time To Die’, Leila’s ‘Sinking Sands’, and ‘Ties That Bind’, ‘Warrior Queen’, and others.
He also works on TV commercials and music videos and has a number of awards to his credit, including Best Art Direction award at NAFTI (2006) and Ghana Movie Awards (2010). It appears he i
s now eyeing the Oscars.
