Further reasons were not given for the call. However, it is obvious there is something happening that the group is not happy about; hence, the call.
After the group’s performance one of the trio, Promzy, called the attention of the audience and said he wanted to use the opportunity to thank the organizers of the show. Then he went on with his unity talks.

VIP last had brand issues with fellow artiste, Kwaw Kese after their performance at Joy Fm Night with the Stars concert. But indications were that both groups have settled their differences. That couldn’t have been the reason for Promzy’s commentary.
Usually, issues about artiste fees mostly get artistes to talk like he did. But he is yet to confirm if that was his reason for making the remark about unity.
Meanwhile, the multiple award winning group left the Accra International Conference Centre where the VGMA was organized without award.
It received nominations for Artiste of the Year, Hip Life Song of the Year, Best Group of the Year, Hip life /Hip Hop Artiste of the Year and Best Music Video of the Year categories.
