Ghana’s acclaimed fastest rapper and first Ghanaian to win a BET award, Sarkodie, born Michael Kofi Owusu Addo, made history on Saturday evening with the launch of his clothing line called Sark Collections by Yas.

The launching ceremony was held at the Aphrodisiac Nightclub in Accra, amidst exciting performances by the rapper, Efya and 4x4.
Among Ghanaian showbiz personalities and fashion icons that witnessed the launch were ex Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, actor Prince David Osei, Ama K. Abebrese, Fred Nuamah, Efya, Deborah Vanessa, D Black, Sandra Ankobiah, Zainab and a host of others.
Sarkodie has thus joined the league of world celebrities who have their own clothing lines with this initiative. His Sark belts, shoes, caps and jackets were displayed by runway models.
“Sark has come to stay,” the rapper told guests after his performance on the night.
He gave the assurance his clothing line would outdoor designs for babies and ladies wear in the course of the year.
Besides, he said the target market for Sark is not just in Ghana but outside of Africa.
He announced that fashion enthusiasts and fans can pass through the Sark shop  located at Dzorwulu, a few meters away from the Aphrodisiac Night Club to purchase some of the designer clothing.  
The launching ceremony, emceed by KOD, was also used to premiere Sarkodie and Lil Shaker’s new video for the song, ‘Lies.’

Actress JJ Bunny’s Gambian movie project titled ‘Groom’s Bride’, featuring some award-winning Gambian actors and Ghanaian lead actors Majid Michel and Jackie Appiah, will hit Ghanaian silver-screens this month.  The movie will be premiered at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra on June 29 via a grand red carpet ceremony, which is anticipated to bring visiting actors to town. The movie was directed by Frank Rajah for Abdul Salam’s Venus Film Production. The movie, shot last year, is Venus’ first movie in Gambia. Venus is yet to answer critics why the production was done in Gambia.   JJ Bunny came down from her Houston base last November for the movie in Ghana. After the movie, she travelled to Ghana.
