I Won’t Disappoint Ghana Meets Naija Fans-Wizkid


Nigeria’s reigning music icon Wizkid has promised his fans in Ghana to watch out for great performances from him, as he joins the league of Ghanaian and Nigerian musicians who will be performing at the 2013 edition of Ghana Meets Naija concert being organised by Bola Ray’s Empire Entertainment.
The concert which is slated for June 29, at the Accra International Conference Centre was launched on Wednesday May 22, at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra.
Artistes announced to perform at the anticipated  groundbreaking event are  R2Bees, who just won six awards including Artiste of the Year at the 2013 Ghana Music Awards, Edem, Okyeame Kwame, Raquel, E.L., Xo Senavoe, Dr Slim, Dobble  among others.
In the Nigerian line-up are Wizkid, Burna Boy, Timaya and a host of others.
Wizkid said at the launching ceremony that he wa
nted to be part of last year’s show. But it didn’t happen due to his other tight schedules. He and Bola Ray have tried various plans to be flown down to Ghana for the show but it didn’t come to fruition.
Hence, he said he is happy to be part of this year’s show and promised not disappoint fans.    
Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi, aka Bola Ray, CEO of Empire Entertainment speaking at the launch noted that the concert was built on the solid foundation of harnessing the talents of both countries for unity.
He promised that the event which is in its third edition would not just be a night of glitz and glamour but something that has never happened in Ghana’s entertainment scene before.
Some of the artistes at the launch ceremony promised to give fans nothing but fun.
Empire Entertainment has become synonymous with organizing the biggest and most entertaining raves in the country and building on from last year, the Ghana Meets Naija brand has become entrenched in the minds of music fans as the ultimate musical mega jam.
As such, nothing less than spectacular performances, an electrifying ambiance and an absolutely exciting show can be expected on the night of June 29.
