Yvonne Okoro Rocks Showbiz Honours

Actress Yvonne Okoro on Friday night rocked the launching of Showbiz Honours, orgainsed by Emklan Entertainment, at the Holiday Inn Hotel looking sexy.
The Showbiz Honours is an award ceremony to celebrate individual icons who have, for more than five years, contributed to the arts and entertainment industry and also helped the country’s image on the international stage. It selects one icon to celebrate him or her.
Two years ago, the award’s academy decided to honour and celebrate actress Nadia Buari.
This year, the academy settled on former skipper of the Ghana Black Stars and CEO of Steppap, Stephen Appiah.

Besides the recognition and statuette, Stephen will receive a cash price of GH
¢20,000 to support his Steppap Foundation.
After the last event, one of the main issues that popped up in the media was the fact that not many Ghanaian stars were at the event to support Nadia.
A long list of Ghanaian actors was missing at that occasion even though a number of Nigerian top guns made it.
Yvonne Okoro was among the actors missing at that event. But on Friday, she showed up at the event’s launching with her younger sisters Roseline and Elizabeth Okoro. Actresses like Nicky Samonas and Pascaline Edward were also there.
Yvonne rocked a yellow Karen Millen modern tribal dress which drew some attention to her sexy thighs. She wore black Casadei shoes and Aldo purse to complement her look.  Nicky Samonas also looked beautiful in her outfit.
This year’s Showbiz Honours is scheduled to be a festival. It will be organized with a lot of activities including soccer matches and climaxed with the main award ceremony at the State House, Banquet Hall, on December 24, which happens to be Stephen Appiah’s birthday. It will be strictly by invitation with heavy media presence.

It is unclear which colours are ruling the red carpet and glamour events lately. Last weekend actresses Zynnell Zuh and Omoni Oboli attended the premiere of Being Mrs Elliot at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra on Friday in some unique colours. Though they both had slightly different colours, their touch of coral, dusty rose, off white and cream colours almost looked the same to eyes. Zynnell Zuh & Omoni Oboli colours Omoni Oboli style

Actress JJ Bunny’s Gambian movie project titled ‘Groom’s Bride’, featuring some award-winning Gambian actors and Ghanaian lead actors Majid Michel and Jackie Appiah, will hit Ghanaian silver-screens this month.  The movie will be premiered at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra on June 29 via a grand red carpet ceremony, which is anticipated to bring visiting actors to town. The movie was directed by Frank Rajah for Abdul Salam’s Venus Film Production. The movie, shot last year, is Venus’ first movie in Gambia. Venus is yet to answer critics why the production was done in Gambia.   JJ Bunny came down from her Houston base last November for the movie in Ghana. After the movie, she travelled to Ghana. She has since remained in Africa as she has been bombarded with movie scripts. She has been described as a Nollywood US A-List actress residing in the United States. She is also a recording artiste and a filmmaker, who acted in her first feature film titled ‘Caged’ in 2009. She h...
