Award-winning
filmmaker Leila Djansi will be producing an indie drama, ‘37’, which stars Oscar nominated actor Bruce Davison.
The
film will be directed by Randall Batinkoff as his directorial debut and he also plays
the lead role of Adam, a rocker who makes a pact to kill himself when he
turns 37.
Several
months before his 37th birthday and the release of his comeback album, he meets
and falls in love with Jemma, a terminally ill woman.

Other
names involved in the project include Scott Wolf (‘Go, Everwood’) and Greg
Lauren (‘Batman Forever’, ‘The wedding Planner’).
Casting
is still ongoing and the project is set to take off later in the fall. Djansi
is excited to return to producing and said, “This is what gets your adrenaline
pumping; producing, putting all the pieces together, cast, crew, production
elements. And I’m excited to work with Randall again.”
Randall
Batinkoff played Dan Dubick in Leila Djansi’s award-winning ‘Ties That Bind’
which was acquired for distribution by indie giants Image Entertainment in the
summer. Hollywood’s number one trade news, Variety Entertainment, announced the
project and ‘37’ will be released in the summer of 2013.
