Ghanaian Actress McBrown Secretly Produces 7 Movies

Popular Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown has confirmed that she is into movie production, aside acting and says her upcoming movie is not the first she has produced.
She said she has already produced six award-winning movies and her upcoming movie is her seventh production. 
“It’s true I'm on set now but it wasn’t my first production. It was my seventh production,” she told NEWS-ONE when she was contacted on Tuesday.
Nana Ama McBrown’s first self-produced movie was ‘Alicia’ in 2006. She wrote the script, directed and acted in it as well. It featured some of Ghana’s top actors including Emmanual Amah and Omar Sheriff Captan.
Her second produced movie was ‘Love Comes Back’ with Jackie Appiah and Omar Sheriff, while her third was a Twi movie titled ‘Dee Adea Wonno’.
 She also produced ‘Asofo Awarie’ starring Mercy Asiedu and Matilda Asare, Obiyaa and Suzzy.
It means Nana Ama has been producing for a long time but on the quiet.
NEWS-ONE sources said last week that she was getting ready to venture into movie production as a producer, years after gracing TV screens as an actress. But Nana said she had been producing for a long time on the quiet.
Nana Ama is currently one of Ghana’s most talented and respected veteran actresses of long standing. She is a bridge between veteran actresses and new face actress as well as Twi and English movies. She as a result operates within any of the mentioned categories and has acted in over 100 Ghanaian movies.
Among them are ‘He Is Mine’, ‘Madam Joan’, ‘Nsem Pii’, ‘Kumasi Yonko’, ‘Odo Ntira,’ ‘Love Comes Back’, ‘Kae Dabi’, ‘Asoreba’, ‘Wo nyame som po ni’, ‘Alicia’, ‘Fools Paradise’, ‘Dea Ade Wo No’, ‘Girl Connection’, ‘Playboy’, ‘My Own Mother’ and ‘Friday Night’.
