Ghana’s
award-winning trio, VIP’s latest video for its hot song titled ‘Pampana’,
featuring EL, has been aired on international platform, MTV
Base.
The
video was premiered yesterday Tuesday May 1 for the first time to thousands of
MTV Base viewers across the world.
The
video has so far been adjudged VIP’s best. It is a drift from the group’s previous
videos and its standards are just amazing.
It
boasts of very good concept, pictures, wow performances and great output in
general. No wonder it has found its way on MTV Base.

of the video premiere at 2:30 yesterday, the international TV network carried

with the title, ‘Where We Come From:
Ghana’s VIP Reps Hiplife Roots Worldwide’.
It
talked about the group’s beginning and its exploits in the African music
industry as well its contribution to hiplife music in Ghana.
The
article is generating a lot of excitement on the web, with many people sharing
their opinions via comments and showing support for hiplife music.
VIP
is currently in the US as part of its ‘Vision Tour’ to move its career to the
next level.
The
group was together with D’wayne Wiggins at KPFA RADIO, Oakland, California to
talk about working on a project together
D’wayne
Wiggins is the founding member of Tony! Toni! Toné. The group had 14 Billboard-charting
R&B singles, including five number one hits, three top ten pop singles, one
gold album, two platinum albums and one double platinum album. The group sold
over six million albums during its career and toured internationally from 1998
through 2008.
VIP
was also at Stanford University in California as part of
Afrique Fest. Afrique Fest is a festival geared towards highlighting and celebrating the culture and artistic presence of African peoples in the world.

Fest will serve as the kick-off event for the Stanford African Students’
Association (SASA)’s annual Africa Week. The headliner for this year’s festival
is VIP.
The
day’s other festivities include music performances, art, crafts, face painting,
food vendors, and raffles. VIP will use the opportunity talk to students about
Africa.
VIP
is expected to perform at other shows as part of the tour.
