Mama Zimbi Eyes Africa With Odo Ahomaso

Ace radio and television talk show host, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, known in private life as Joyce Akumaa Dongotey-Padi, has revealed that her ‘Odo Ahomaso’ radio show will from Wednesday, January 11, 2012, be broadcast live on Adom FM from 10:00pm to 12:00am instead of the usual 4 hours which run from 10:00pm to 2:00am.
Akumaa has gradually become a cultural icon for her philanthropic works, humanitarian works and her ability to use the media to solve peoples’ problems.
Her ‘Odo Ahomaso’ remains one of the longest running and most consistent late night shows on family, relationship, marriage and sex in the history of Ghanaian radio on Adom 106.3 FM, and is carried nationwide by 21 affiliate radio stations and 10 international radio stations.
Speaking to NEWS-ONE about the need to make this drastic change to the most listened-to radio late night show both home and abroad, the Programmes Director of Adom FM, Cox Tamakloe, stated that the repackaging of the show was to give listeners the best within the shortest possible time so they could have enough rest for work the next morning.
On her part, Mama Zimbi stated that the change would also enable the smooth beginning of  the television version of the show  - ‘Odo Ahomaso’ - on Multi-TV, a multi channel satellite television that is serving the whole of Africa and streaming live and free on the internet.
She added that the specific days and time for the television version would be communicated to the public very soon, noting that this would give the show a wider mileage and also give other Africans the opportunity to fully benefit from the great things this great show had been offering to humanity over the past 11years on radio in Ghana.
