Ghana Movie Award's Christmas Night of Tuxedos

Desmond Elliot
It was all fun on Christmas Day December 25 when Ghanaian and Nigerian actors and actresses converge on the Accra International Conference Center to celebrate excellence at the prestigious Ghana Movie Awards.
For many, it was not only a night of awards, but also a show of the best wardrobe, as some stars really didn’t disappoint their fans.
Certainly, the directive to wear tuxedos or Kente went down well with the actors, as most of them were adorned in the best of outfits.
However, not many stars wore Kente. Apart from Super OD and Twi actor Azorzor, spotted by NEWS-ONE cameras, none did. But it was indeed a battle of who wore the best tuxedo.
Kumasi based local language actor, Wayosi gave the big boys a run for their money. He looked so cute in his tuxedo, one is tempted to place him ahead of the rest.
Unfortunately, his diminutive pal Joe Shortingo showed up in an unpleasant looking attire.
Benny Blanco
Majid Michel looked fresher in his tuxedo than usual, just like another light-skinned actor Ramsey Nouah. John Dumelo was sexier than before in his tuxedo, just as Desmond Elliot.
There was a tall list of actors in tuxedos. Prince David Osei also looked cool in his, to match up with his bad boy Gallas haircut.  Ekow Smith Asante also looked nice on the night.
Producer and actor, Idikoko, Abdul Salam, Hammond Mensah of HM Films and son Sorag among others respected the dress code. It was indeed a nice sight at this year’s Ghana Movie Awards.

Zynnell Zuh Vs Omoni Oboli: Who Best Rocks The Colours?

It is unclear which colours are ruling the red carpet and glamour events lately. Last weekend actresses Zynnell Zuh and Omoni Oboli attended the premiere of Being Mrs Elliot at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra on Friday in some unique colours. Though they both had slightly different colours, their touch of coral, dusty rose, off white and cream colours almost looked the same to eyes. Zynnell Zuh & Omoni Oboli colours Omoni Oboli style

The movie was directed by Frank Rajah for Abdul Salam’s Venus Film Production. The movie, shot last year, is Venus’ first movie in Gambia. Venus is yet to answer critics why the production was done in Gambia.   JJ Bunny came down from her Houston base last November for the movie in Ghana. After the movie, she travelled to Ghana. She has since remained in Africa as she has been bombarded with movie scripts. She has been described as a Nollywood US A-List actress residing in the United States.
