Esther Afu Crowned Face of Vienna City


Esther Afu Essel is the proud winner of the first edition of Face of Vienna City pageant organized by the Ghana branch of Vienna City group of companies, in collaboration with Consul limited.
The Face of Vienna is an international event held in Vienna, Australia every year by the Vienna City Group.
The hospitality giant player brought the pageant to Ghana for the first time to search for a beautiful, intelligent and elegant woman to represent the Vienna City brand.
The event took place on November 19 at the Takoradi branch of Vienna City restaurant where beautiful contestants tried to display great acumen to emerge winners.
At the end, Esther Afu Essel was crowned winner, with Alexandra Okyere and Beatrice Dossah placing first and second runners-up respectively.
Last Friday, Vienna City management held a short presentation ceremony where winners were presented with their prize packages.
Esther received a cash prize of GH¢3000, a certificate and other souvenirs from sponsors.
Runners-up Alexandra and Beatrice each took GH¢2000 and GH¢1500, certificates and souvenirs from sponsors.
The rest of the contestants received other cash prizes and certificates for their participation.
Apart from representing the Vienna City brand, Esther, the winner of the pageant, will also represent Ghana at the Vienna international pageant next year.
She will be involved in service to society by collaborating with Zoomlion to clean some strategic locations in the country.
Organisers told journalists on Friday that the event had come to stay and it was one other way in contributing to the hospitality industry. The event, they said, would be held every year.   
The year’s event started with auditions from September 15 to 27 in the various branches of Vienna City in Kumasi, Accra, Tema and Takoradi.
