Richie Celebrates 116 Chiropractic Day

Ghana’s youngest sound engineer and singer Richie, and ‘Home Sweet Home’ actor Fred Johnson on Wednesday joined the chiropractic community to celebrate 116 years of chiropractic subsistence in the world.
Chiropractic is the treatment of injuries through the movement of joints, especially the spine.
It is also a form of alternative medicine that emphasizes on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine, under the hypothesis that these disorders affect general health via the nervous system.
Early this month, as part of activities to further raise awareness, the Chiropractic and Wellness Centre (CWC) in Ghana named three icons- Reggie Rockstone, Riche and Joseph Agbeko- as its health ambassadors.
The CWC has its head office located in Asylum Down, adjacent Roxbury night club, with affiliates in Takoradi, Kumasi and Cape Coast.
The three stars will use their image to project chiropractic treatment on various platforms.
Last Wednesday, Richie and TV star Fred Johnson joined members of the CWC to celebrate the day at the Asylum Down center in Accra.
The celebration attracted a lot of patrons of chiropractic treatment. Among them were top business executives and bankers. Patrons were taken through a tour of the CWC facility while others got free massages and other free treatments.
There was also a drama sketch, performed by workers at the centre, to depict what people would eventually become when they get chiropractic treatment.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Marcus A. Manns, founder and CEO of CWC, said, “CWC mission is to educate and adjust as many families as possible towards optimum health and well-being through natural chiropractic care.”
He said he would be touring parts of the country with a team of foreign chiropractors to examine children suffering from autism, an ailment that is chiropractic related. Autism is a mental disorder that affects children, particularly their ability to relate to other people.
According to Dr. Marcus, his first experience as a chiropractor was treating autistic person, hence he wanted to help children in Ghana who had the same problem.
The CWC is committed to educating, empowering and equipping many people towards creating optimum health and well being through chiropractic and total wellness lifestyle. With Richie, Reggie and Agbeko as its ambassadors, lives will definitely be saved.
