Fred Nuamah, CEO of Ghana Movie Awards, has rendered an unqualified apology to actress Juliet Ibrahim over rising issues about the awards’ controversial car which is currently in the custody of actress Roslyn Ngissah.
The car, which was jointly won by Jackie Appiah, Juliet Ibrahim, Yvonne Okoro and Roselyn Ngissah at the last Ghana Movie Awards, was handed over to the latter sometime last week.
Fred reportedly gave the car to Roslyn because she requested for it, something which reportedly did not go down well with some of the remaining actresses.
Fred Nuamah told NEWS-ONE on Wednesday that he was rendering an unqualified apology to Juliet Ibrahim in particular for releasing the car to Roslyn.
Fred said Juliet was the first to request for the car but he refused to present it to her because he thought all the four actresses would come so he presents it to them.
However that didn’t work. Hence, he decided to present the car to Roslyn, who recently approached the organizers of the awards.
Asked why he did not call Juliet for the car after his outfit decided they could give the car to any of the actresses, depending on who came forward, Fred said, “I think I must be fair to Juliet. I want to say I am sorry. We apologize for not giving her the car from the initial stages. She was the first to ask and even bring the idea that the four of them can drive the car to events to together to show how united they are. I am sorry Juliet. We have not been fair to her on that so we apologize.”
