Africa’s Next Top Model Audition Comes To Ghana

The search has begun for the supermodel as Africa’s Next Top Model reality show starts scouting on the continent.
The show’s team will be in Ghana on July 20 at the M-Plaza hotel in Accra as part of activities to audition for the event which will be aired on M-Net’s AfricaMagic channels later this year.
The main event will held in South Africa as they film the first season of Africa’s Next Top Model in Cape Town.
“We are proud and delighted to be the host destination of this, the first and historic season of Africa’s Next Top Model. We are honoured to share our destination with the continent and showcase our beautiful, friendly, affordable and accessible destination. We invite the continent to come to South Africa to Live the Beautiful Life,” says Thulani Nzima, Chief Executive Officer at South African Tourism.
“Africa’s Next Top Model came as a natural fit for South African Tourism as the show offers a fantastic opportunity to market South Africa on the continent. Regional Africa continues to be an important market for destination South Africa. Arrivals from the rest of the continent grew 8.5 percent last year, to 6, 634, 933 tourists in total. The individual markets performed really well: Nigeria grew by 13.8 percent; Ghana grew by 23.8 percent; Kenya grew by 9 percent, Angola grew by 21.7 percent; and Tanzania grew by an incredible 25.4 percent,” said Nzima.
Nigerian supermodel extraordinaire Oluchi Orlandi, Host and Executive Producer of Africa’s Next Top Model said: “South Africa has great vibrant cosmopolitan cities, breathtaking scenery and warm people. We cannot wait to start filming the series in August in Cape Town. I am very happy to bring Africa’s Next Top Model to South Africa. I’m honoured to be part of the successful franchise; Africa’s own version of America’s Next Top Model was definitely overdue. I’ve been to South Africa many times and I’m sure this is the best location for the show.”

Oluchi Orlandi will be present at all the scouting auditions to personally select the 12 lucky girls who will travel to Cape Town, South Africa for the filming of Africa’s Next Top Model.
