The search has begun for the
supermodel as Africa’s Next Top Model reality show starts scouting on the
continent.
The show’s team will be in Ghana
on July 20 at the M-Plaza hotel in Accra as part of activities to audition for
the event which will be aired on M-Net’s
AfricaMagic channels later this year.
The main event will held in South Africa as they film the first
season of Africa’s Next Top Model in Cape Town.
“We are proud and delighted to be the host destination of this,
the first and historic season of Africa’s Next Top Model. We are honoured to
share our destination with the continent and showcase our beautiful, friendly,
affordable and accessible destination. We invite the continent to come to South
Africa to Live the Beautiful Life,”
says Thulani Nzima, Chief Executive Officer at South African Tourism.
“Africa’s Next Top Model came as a natural fit for South African
Tourism as the show offers a fantastic opportunity to market South Africa on
the continent. Regional Africa continues to be an important market for
destination South Africa. Arrivals from the rest of the continent grew 8.5
percent last year, to 6, 634, 933 tourists in total. The individual
markets performed really well: Nigeria grew by 13.8 percent; Ghana grew by 23.8
percent; Kenya grew by 9 percent, Angola grew by 21.7 percent; and Tanzania
grew by an incredible 25.4 percent,” said Nzima.
Nigerian supermodel extraordinaire Oluchi Orlandi, Host and
Executive Producer of Africa’s Next Top Model said: “South Africa has great
vibrant cosmopolitan cities, breathtaking scenery and warm people. We cannot
wait to start filming the series in August in Cape Town. I am very happy to
bring Africa’s Next Top Model to South Africa. I’m honoured to be part of the
successful franchise; Africa’s own version of America’s Next Top Model was
definitely overdue. I’ve been to South Africa many times and I’m sure this is
the best location for the show.”
If you want to get a chance to travel to
Cape Town, South Africa and Live the Beautiful Life then please
make sure you attend one of the scouting auditions taking place in the selected
locations.
Oluchi Orlandi will be present at all the scouting auditions to
personally select the 12 lucky girls who will travel to Cape Town, South Africa
for the filming of Africa’s Next Top Model.
