Okawa Shaznay, Belinda & Diana Yekinni |
Three
beautiful actresses, Okawa Shaznay, Diana Yekinni and Belinda Effah spent their
first day on set in Ghana at James Town, a fishing community in Accra, on
Saturday afternoon.
It
was indeed an interesting experience for the sexy ladies shooting in Ghana for
the first time and they expressed those feelings in different ways.
They
arrived in Ghana last week for the movie titled, ‘The Refugees’, being directed
by Frank Rajah.
While
Okawa and Diana touched down from USA & UK, sources said Belinda arrived from
Nigeria, where she had been doing some productions.
Undoubtedly,
they came down with a lot of expectations and their demeanor in photos coming
out of the set indeed showed the talented and promising actresses are having a
jolly good time, shooting in Ghana.

It
was a sunny Saturday afternoon and an unusual weather condition and environment
for the beautiful ladies, but they looked all poised for action as they went
through their scripts waiting for shooting to start.
They
gave the best of smiles on set and tried to be nice with every Ghanaian crew
member on set. Interestingly they brought some excitement when two of them,
Okawa and Diana, tried some Azonto moves to prove to their new Ghanaian friends
that they knew what time it was.

The
ladies, as part of the shoot, also went sight-seeing at the James Town beach to
prepare themselves for the task ahead.
Indications
were that they would spend a few more days shooting in James Town before
leaving for other locations in Accra.
The
upcoming refugees’ movie is about three ladies played by Okawa Shaznay, Diana
Yekinni and Belinda Effah.
They
are three African musicians who are struggling to make life better for
themselves.
Hence
in a move to enhance their musical aspirations, they decide to travel abroad to
ply their trade.

But
their chances are limited because they don’t have the requisite means to travel.
The only way for them is to stowaway (through a ship) at the port. There, the
intrigue and pressure of illegal traveling sets in and if they can make it to
the destination.
Frank
Rajah is not making use of his usual major Ghanaian cast. The likes of Majid
Michel, Yvonne Okoro, Yvonne Nelson, Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, Martha Ankomah
and a number of others are not in this movie.
But
Frank wanted to take his production to the next level with this production.
