Majid Michel Wins GIAMA Awards Best Actor



Leading Ghanaian actor Majid Michel over the weekend added to his numerous laurels, the 2012 Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards best actor.
The event was held in Houston, USA.
Bellanaija.com reported that it was a fabulous event with a large turnout of celebrities and special guests from Nollywood and Ghana’s movie industry.
Ghanaian movie ‘Somewhere In Africa’ took most of the major awards. Majid won the best actor for his role in the movie. It also won the best motion picture whilst Ghanaian director Frank Raja Arase took best director for his efforts on ‘Somewhere In Africa’. Producer Kwame Boadu also won best producer with the movie.
Actor cum producer Van Vicker took a humanitarian award for his Van Vicker Foundation.
