Yvonne Okoro Mourns Accra Mayor’s Wife

Reports on beautiful Ghanaian actress Yvonne Okoro revealed that she indeed visited the home of Accra Mayor, Alfred Nii Oko Vanderpuije, last Sunday.
According to NEWS-ONE sources, Yvonne had a good relationship with the mayor’s family, especially his children.
The visit was to pay tribute and mourn the mayor’s dead wife, whom she called ‘auntie’. She met with the family and shared in their loss and signed a condolence book.
She took some photos with the family and other mourners. Earlier this week, she put some of the pictures on her Blackberry status.
Mrs. Vanderpuije died weeks ago after the burial of her brother.
“The late wife of the Accra Mayor had just undergone a surgery and was recuperating before her passing.”
Citifmonline.com reported that “the Mayor however indicated that it was possible his wife died as a result of the shock of losing her brother.” The couple has two children.
Yvonne Okoroi also tweeted her condolence to the family of the president on social network, twitter after the unfortunate death news broke.
Currently, fingers are crossed for Yvonne to win Best Pan African Actress at the 2012 edition of the annual Nigeria Entertainment Award (NEA) scheduled for New York, United States of America, from August 31 to September 2. Her fans in Nigeria can vote for her by texting “NEA 20 Yvonne Okoro”, to 32051on all networks in Nigeria for Yvonne to win.
