Popular Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson was on Sunday crowned the Face of Ghana Best Actress 2011/2012 at a red-carpet ceremony held at the JFK International Hilton Hotel in the United State of America.
The actress made a stunning appearance at the event and her award makes her a monumental figure of the current generation.
She was honored for her impact on the world via her exploits in movies within the year 2011/2012.
The actress left Ghana on Thursday for the USA ahead of the ceremony.               
Currently, Yvonne’s films are quite popular in the US. She is seen and acknowledged as not just a mere acting figure but someone who represents values of hard work and dedication. 
It is not yet certain which other Ghanaian stars made it to the event but indications were that there were some other nominees from around the world.
The event has been in existence for 15 years and has over the years honored more than 500 hard working individuals all over the world.
The honorees include artists, musicians, actors, actors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, politicians, entrepreneurs, journalists, humanitarians and religious figures.
The award ceremony provided an opportunity for the actress to meet with fans.
