Face Of Vienna, Ghana Takes Health Screening To Tema

Face of Vienna Cit
Face of Vienna City, Esther Efua Essel, last Saturday organized a free health screening exercise at the Tema Community Center.
The event was part of her social responsibility and the screening process actually started two weeks ago in Accra.
Esther Efua Essel also used the occasion to encourage people to have regular health check-ups.
The ceremony was supported by Consul Ghana.
Activities included checking of blood pressure, weight, hepatitis b, and malaria. Doctors also took care of wounds and glucose levels.
The screening exercise is scheduled for three regions including Greater Accra.
The first exercise, which came off on June 23, 2012, was held at the premises of Vienna City, Circle-Accra.
Surprisingly, a mentally challenged man on the streets of Accra passed through to check his health status. He tested negative for all the checks, to the shock of most people present.
The forecourt of Tema Metropolitan Assembly hosted the second exercise on June 30.
The second runner-up of the Face of Vienna City pageant, Beatrice Dosah, was present to support the exercise.

The turn-out exceeded the estimated number of 500 persons. Esther Efua Essel got emotional when a woman knelt in front of her to thank her for her kindness.
“This wound has been on my leg since February, I was at the Tema General Hospital but I couldn’t get the money they requested hence I do the dressing myself. I feel so relieved now and I’ve been given some materials which will help heal the wounds. God richly bless you,” the woman tearfully added.
