Yvonne Okoro For Silverbird Entertainment Awards

Ghanaian actress Yvonne Okoro was one of the high-profile personalities to make an appearance at this year’s Silverbird Entertainment Awards organized last night at the Eko Hotel in Lagos Nigeria.
Signals picked by NEWS-ONE as at press time last night indicated that the beautiful thespian was the only Ghanaian actress to make it to the event as a special guest.
She left Ghana on Sunday morning and is expected to be back in town sometime this week.
It is yet to be confirmed, but indications were that she was on stage at the ceremony, which attracted a lot of high-profile personalities from Nigeria.
Yvonne has within the past few years distinguished herself so well in Ghana and Nigeria showbiz industries. Currently, she is one actress most movie fans love. She also commands great respect wherever she goes, and is very different from most of her colleagues in the movie industry.
She was last in the news for her stunning presence at African Academy awards (AMAA) also in Lagos at the Eko Hotel.
Yvonne is the first Ghanaian actress to feature in a two-cast movie and the first Ghanaian actress to receive a Distinguished Achievement Award at the 2012 Nigeria Excellence Awards in Ghana.
Many movie enthusiasts describe her as a true inspirer. They watch her from the comfort of their homes, cinemas and offices and say she is a symbol of hard work, respect.
Indeed, she is an iconic figure of true African beauty.
She is not just an actress but an embodiment of true womanhood. How she comports herself, speaks and relates with people can be compared to none.
“It is not surprising she has stayed firmly on the shores of trouble, holding herself from falling into the sea of scandals in which some movie stars constantly swim,” weekly ‘Mirror’ once said about her.
She has become a household name in the Ghana and Nigeria movie industries, and is a force to reckon with.
