“Watch
out for ‘Dead Alive’,” he said after
receiving Achievement In Production Design Award for his movie, ‘Phone Swap’, at
the just-ended 2012 African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in Nigeria.
Kunle
is often described as one of Nollywood’s technically inclined movie producers
and directors of high repute.
He
is a product of New York Film Academy, best known for his work ‘The Figurine’,
which grabbed 5 awards at the African Movie Academy Awards in Bayelsa State in
2010 after garnering 10 nominations.
The
awards included best actor which was won by Ramsey Nouah.
Also an actor, Kunle is the son of the famous theater
and film director and producer Ade Love, a Yoruba.
He
is a trained economist, but he has been making a name for himself in Nollywood since
2005. His latest movie, ‘Phone Swap’, is still making an impact across Africa
and some parts of Europe.
The
movie featured Ghana’s darling actress, Lydia Forson, who was also at this
year’s AMAAs. So far, Lydia is the only Ghanaian actress that Kunlehas featured
in his movie. It is yet to be confirmed if he has plans to work with another
Ghanaian on the upcoming project.
