Award-winning Ghanaian trio VIP treated music fans in Toronto, Canada to its repertoire on Friday evening when it put up some enthralling and energetic performances.
It performed for over a 1500 mixed audience including Ghanaian fans at Rox Complex Centre in Toronto.
The show was part of the group’s USA tour which was postponed weeks ago.
The Toronto show has officially started the tour which will be climaxed in Ghana.
The earlier postponement was because one of the VIP members, Promzy, was unwell.
The tour is scheduled to hit New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Oakland, Texas, Maryland, Boston and other states.
The group will not just be performing for a myriad of music fans in the US but it will also be screening documentaries of the group and how hip life started with it as well as its contribution to the music genre’s growth in Ghana.
Most of the screenings, which are aimed at educating the world about hip life, will be done in colleges.
VIP is 2011 Ghana Music Awards’ artistes of the year and has won several other awards in the past across Africa. Currently, the group has shown it is one of the formidable groups on the African continent.
In Ghana, its single, ‘Which Kind Yawa Be Dis’, featuring Sarkodie, is gaining public attention.
