Leila Djansi Teams Up With NAFTI


Award-winning Ghanaian director Leila Djansi’s Turning Point Pictures Production, in conjunction with National Film & Television Institute (NAFTI), is presenting the Miles Talent Factory Free Acting Workshop and Networking Mixer.
The event is coming off on May 12, 2012 at TV3 Executive Theater where a lot of industry players are expected to throng.
It is the first time her production is teaming up with NAFTI on a project like this. It is aimed at improving standards in Ghana’s movie industry.
The event will commence with a seminar at 9:30am to 12pm with amazing panelists on board. Itinerary will also include serving of delicious lunch. From 12:30pm to 3:00pm will be hands-on acting workshop with Leila Afua Djansi.
Topics to be discussed will include getting into character, the Meisner technique, preparing your resume and demo reel and how to audition impressively.
 Certificates will be presented upon request. Professional photographers will be there for free professional head-shots for patrons’ portfolio.
“Please, due to limited seating, we are charging a small registration fee for the workshop packets. The packet is a thick envelope with a lot of material for study. It is GH¢10 only. You are not allowed entry unless you have the packet. You've never experienced anything like this. Producers and casting directors will be present during the workshop.
