ywood stars will be storming Accra this weekend for the grand and executive premiere of actress cum producer, Luckie Lawson’s movie, ‘Familiar Strangers’. Chika Ike, Halima Abubakar, and Yemi Blaq have been announced by sources close to Luckie as part of over ten celebrities who will be in town.
The rest include Stephanie Barbie from Dubai, G4 and other musicians from Nigeria.

The event is strictly by invitation.
It has also been confirmed that number of a Ghanaian top players in the corporate world and media would be at the ceremony.
Luckie wants to use the premiere as a platform to get the corporate world and entertainment industry to forge a good relationship that will help their various industries.
Below is the profile of Chika Ike, Yemi Blaq and Halima Abubakar
Chika Ike
The graduate of the University of Lagos is no doubt a Nollywood sensation and one of the richest.

As a child, Chika loved to play short drama’s by herself in front of her mirror and her family. She quickly bagged the nickname 'Fancy Nancy' but even then she never imagined she would one day make ‘real movies.’
Sometime in February 2004, Chika, encouraged by numerous peers, decided to audition for Chico Ejiro's ‘Sweet Love’, and she got the role. It was a minor role, but soon enough, she bagged another role in Tchidi Chikere's 'Standing Alone', and weeks later, in 'Bless The Child'. Since then, Chika has gone ahead to make prominent appearances in 'Paradise', 'Everything We Touch', 'My Prince And My Princess', 'Django', 'Emotional Blackmail', 'Wisdom And Riches' among several others. Last year, she featured in Luckie’s ‘Silence Is Golden’ alongside Ramsey Nouah.
Yemi Blaq

Yemi Blaq is a Nollywood actor with a lot of movie credits. He is a Theatre Arts graduate from the University of Benin. He made an entry into Nollywood in 2005 but within a short period, he moved on the ranks to rock with the best in his industry.
He has proved it takes more than great looks to be a lead man. With a diction that is captivating, his roles in movies like ‘Sting’, ‘Control’ and ‘Coded’ were outstanding. He starred in Leila Djansi’s award-winning movie, ‘Sinking Sands’.
Halima Abubakar
She is one of the business oriented ladies in Nollywood. She entered Nollywood in 1999 but left the industry to pursue a degree course in Sociology at Ado Bayero University, Kano.

But she returned less than 2 years ago, looking stronger than ever.
The delectable actress has featured in over 60 movies. They include ‘Before The Rain’, ‘Beautiful Beauty’, ‘Area Mama’, ‘Sin No More’, ‘War In The Church’, ‘Red Card’, ‘Dangerous Angels’ and’ Sweet and Sour’.
Halima, who hails from Ebiraland, Kogi State, is the second born of a family of seven. She grew up in Kano State, Katsina State and Kogi State.
She had her secondary education at the Army Day Secondary, Bubabu barracks, and St. Louis Secondary School, Kano, before entering the university. Currently, she resides in Lagos, where acting is keeping her busy.
She started acting at a very tender age, but she was introduced into the industry by her friend and actor Francis Duru in 1999. He actually gave her some contacts anytime she wanted to go for auditioning. Her parents didn’t like the idea because she was very young by then.
She finally landed a role in a movie in 2001 and struggled to get a lead role in a movie titled, ‘Gangster Paradise,’ produced by Ifeanyi Benyi (Mr. Hollywood). Though it wasn’t her first movie, it was her first major role. Since then, she has become a force to reckon with.
