Nollywood Stars Likely To Attend Luckie Lawson’s Premiere

Chika Ike

Actress cum producer Luckie Lawson will soon launch her much-talked-about movie, ‘Familiar Strangers’, with a huge celebrity and executive premiere.
NEWS-ONE has gathered that the premiere is strictly by invitation.
A number of big players in the movie industry, corporate world, and the media, will be invited for the premiere.
Indications are that she wants to use the premiere as a platform to get the corporate world and entertainers to form a good relationship which will benefit the two industries.
The location and date for the event is yet to be confirmed. But there are indications that she will bring down some Nollywood stars for the premiere.
NEWS-ONE’s source could not confirm that either, but it said she had been chatting with actresses Halima Abubakar and Chika Ike. One of them or both may come for the premiere.
Lwason previously worked with Chike Ike and Ramsey Nouah in ‘Silence Is Golden’ as the lead cast.

‘Familiar Strangers’, directed by Pascal Amanfo, is an entirely Ghanaian movie.
Luckie did not pick up her phone to react to the claims that she was bringing down some Nollywood stars for her premiere.

But the likes of John Dumelo, Nana Ama McBrown, Prince David Osei, Roslyn Ngissah, who are part of the cast, will be at the event.
Luckie’s efforts as a producer have confirmed that female producers have taken over the frontline position in terms of movie production in Ghana.
‘Familiar Strangers’ is an unusual tale of three sisters (Lawson, McBrown and Ngissah) who are caught in a world of deceit, strange living and betrayal.
Wande (Lawson), a doctor, has no child. Despite Wande’s love for kids, she could not have one of her own. Her sister (McBrown), who prioritizes sex over her child, has no time for her own child. Wande takes up the responsibility of taking care of her sister’s child and that of Ngissah’s.
One of the two irresponsible mothers decides to kill one of the kids and it was at this same time that Wande finds out that the kids are her husband’s.
What transpired subsequently is what Luckie described some time ago as an amazing story to watch out for.
