Ghanaian Actress Ama K Abebrese Speaks About Encounter With Taye Diggs



Actress Ama K. Abebrese has explained the circumstance that led to her meeting American actor Taye Diggs, born Scott Leo Diggs.
She put an end to wild speculations after she told NEWS-ONE yesterday that she met Taye with his wife, Idina Menzel.
“We met at Avenue Bar, Four Seasons, Yorkville, Toronto. After a successful screening of ‘Ties that Bind’, some of us went there to celebrate. He was there with a group of people including his wife. My co-star Ebbe Bassey had a chat with him and introduced us briefly. I had never met him before. We spoke about the screening of ‘Ties that Bind’ briefly, took pictures, and exchange pleasantries and he wished us good luck for the movie’s release. Very nice guy,” she said.
The Monday edition of NEWS-ONE had a photo of Ama K and Taye Diggs having a great laugh. This brought about a lot speculations.
Ama was in Toronto for the premier of her latest movie, ‘Ties That Bind’, directed by Leila Djansi. The Ghanaian actress cum UK presenter returned home Sunday morning.
Taye is an American theatre, film and television actor. He is known for his roles in the Broadway musical ‘Rent’, the motion picture ‘How Stella Got Her Groove Back’ and the television series, ‘Private Practice’. His nickname, ‘Taye’, comes from the playful pronunciation of Scotty as ‘Scottay’.
Taye, according to Wikipedia, was born January 2, 1971. He got married to ‘Rent’ co-star actress Idina Menzel on January 11, 2003 and they have a son, Walker Nathaniel Diggs, who was born on September 2, 2009.
