Several months after Hype Records announced that almost every Ghanaian female artiste would be on its all-female concert dubbed ‘Red Lipstick’, it has now named Becca as one of the performers for the night.
Organizers say the all-female musical concert would not be complete without the signature of Ghana’s female power voice, Becca.
Her EKB Records finally agreed to allow her to join her fellow ladies for the show on October 29 at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Center, to thrill music lovers.
Organizers however failed to make public the reason for the delay in signing Becca.
But they said Becca, born Rebecca Acheampong, was the final artiste for ‘Red Lipsticks’.
Becca, who is known for her smooth stage craft, ability to pull and control crowd, will be performing songs like ‘Forever’, ‘Africa Woman’ and ‘Push’.
CEO of Hype Records, Opoku Agyeman Asafo Adjei Anane, revealed that Becca automatically endorsed the show by declaring October 29 ‘Girls Day’, saying that “Girls can do it better, meaning that day is set aside to push women empowerment agenda and also sing away breast cancer.”
He told fans of Becca who had been yearning to see their diva that she had finally joined her fellow female musicians to prove the saying that “what men can do, women can do, and even better”.
